Collagen Rejuvenation E-mail
Collagen RejuvenationNothing is quite as beautiful as soft and healthy looking skin. As we age, the effects of the sun, gravity, time, and hormones begin to take their toll. Fine lines begin to form around the lips and eyes. If the collagen that supports the skin wears out, deeper lines and grooves form in our brow, next to our eyes, next to our nose, and down to the corners of our mouths.

What is collagen rejuvenation of skin

It is the most advanced non-invasive combination laser treatment for the softening and removal of fine lines and wrinkles to leave the skin looking younger, smoother and healthier.

How does it work?

Collagen rejuvenation
is a revolutionary and noninvasive treatment that stimulates the production of natural collagen in the skin. Beginning in the late 20s, the level of natural collagen in our body decreases, resulting in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. By our late 30s to early 40s, natural collagen production has stopped all together. Clinical trials have shown increased level of natural collagen by up to 85% following laser collagen rejuvenation. This is the most remarkable technological breakthrough in anti-aging skin care.

What areas can be treated?

The treatment is suitable for number of areas including mouth, forehead, crows feet, cheeks and can be used on all skin types.
We use various modalities to stimulate collagen rejuvenation including the Pixel, IPL therapy, skin tightening with the Accent XL, and even microdermabrasion with the Dermasweep. The most effective way to stimulate collagen synthesis is through heat deep in the tissue.

Before Treatment

After Treatment

Depending on the severity of wrinkling and the area to be treated, additional treatments may be desirable.

Normal treatment time is approximately 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area and the number of wrinkles to be treated. Patients experience a visible reduction in wrinkles and fine lines immediately depending upon which treatment is utilized and improvements continue for up to 6 months at which time the improvement is maintained.

Wrinkles are also caused by loss of skin elasticity, lowered ability to retain moisture or secrete oil, and poor healing, as well as by habitual facial expressions and sleeping positions.

Laser skin resurfacing can reduce facial wrinkles and other kinds of irregularities, resulting in smoother skin. The laser technique directs short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin. Laser skin resurfacing removes skin very precisely, layer by layer, resulting in fewer problems with hypopigmentation (lightening of skin). However, after laser skin resurfacing, exposure to the sun must be avoided for a few months to diminish the risks of skin color abnormalities.
The specific laser used depends upon the kind and degree of resurfacing needed.
